Trainwreck Strain

Trainwreck by Barney's Farm

Trainwreck has established itself as a powerhouse in the world of cannabis, famous for its intense effects and distinctive aroma. With a lineage that traces back to a mix of Mexican and Thai Sativas with an Afghani Indica, creating this spectacular 80% Sativa hybrid.

Visually, the Trainwreck strain is a marvel. The buds are a vibrant mix of green and gold, with red and orange hairs weaving through them like fire. This colourful display is complemented by a generous coating of crystal trichomes, which glisten and give the buds a slightly frosty appearance. This visual allure is a perfect introduction to the dynamic nature of the strain.

The aroma of Trainwreck is striking. It greets the senses with a sharp, piney scent mixed with hints of lemon and spicy pepper. This invigorating blend of aromas sets the stage for an equally complex flavour profile. Upon consumption, the taste of pine and earth comes to the forefront, followed by a subtle sweetness and a hint of citrus, making every draw a rich and engaging experience.

The effects of Trainwreck are where it truly lives up to its name. THC levels of up to 28% are achievable; it is also known for delivering a fast-acting and intense high. The experience typically starts with a surge of euphoria, uplifting, heightening mood, and sometimes unleashing an expansive torrent of creativity.

Growing the Trainwreck strain can be an adventure for cannabis cultivators. It is a hardy strain, resistant to common moulds and mildew. The plants typically grow tall and require some space to flourish, responding well to both indoor and outdoor environments.

In indoor settings, Trainwreck plants reach a height of 80-150 cm, while in outdoor environments, they can grow up to 3 meters tall. When taken care of properly, the reward is a plentiful harvest of top-grade buds, with indoor yields up to 700 g/m² and up to 2 kg per plant outdoors.

The flowering period indoors is about 60-65 days, with the outdoor harvest ready by the end of September to early October.
